Full Blossom Orchid Tree

I was on one of my many trips to the San Diego Zoo when I saw this tree (Bauhinia blakeana-Hong Kong Orchid Tree) and these wonderfully colored blossoms of flowers. The bright colors of the flowers and broad green leaves just beckoned me. Full Blossom Orchid Tree was a perfect fit for the type of painting that I do.
